Like many small site admins, I find myself finally being in the need to buy a good robust message board software like vBulletin - which I have now done , but on the strength that i could import our old forums from UBB ... Our current community is 10k+ posts and I wanted to bring them all in to vBulletin.... sadly I now discover that UBB Lite is not supported with an import script!!!

Surely this would be an important hack , as most users coming to vBulletin would be upgrading from a freeware version that has been running for sometime....

I think the reason for that is because UBB Lite was not meant for actual communities, more just for testing and getting used to the board in the case you should want to buy it (God knows why anyone would want to buy it?), I believe the same pretty much applies to the "lite" version of vBulletin.

Unless I missed something, you would just have to start over and have them re-register (as hard as that may be for you and your users).
