A long time ago (before vbulletin.org was created), I was part of a discussion about an idea to create Email addresses for individual forums.
Is there a hack available to do this? We were talking about the ability to assign an email address to a particular forum. Then, all messages sent to that email address were submitted as new posts in that forum. It's a way to allow an email mailing list (majordomo, mailman, etc) to interact with web-forums. Anyway, is there something developed for this already? I've been out of this world for awhile. -- Mike irate: |

Did you ever do this yourself, I am looking for exactly this kind of process, but I am not a programmer

No, I never put together this code. But, there were a few programmers at vBulletin.com working on it. I don't know how far they got. And, I think those hacking forums were wiped clean when everything moved over here to vbulletin.org (not sure about that).
I'll do a search at vbulletin.com and see if I can find that stuff again. It's a worthwhile hack and it's in somebody's mind... I just need to find that somebody. |

I found this for a start, any help? It seems to be mainly about email out, but has aspects of email in. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...threadid=12061 |
