Top 5 Thread Starters (usin template)

i tried and tried and tried..

I d/ld a all-in-wonder Top 5 Posters, New User, ThreadRate hack
from this board.
The problem is, that i need a Top 5 Thread Starter hack too.

But, you guessed it, it didnt come with the hack, doh!

it should be easy to make one out of the following:

PHP Code:

$posts5 = $DB_site->query('SELECT userid,username,posts FROM user ORDER BY posts DESC LIMIT 5'); while ($posts5top = mysql_fetch_array($posts5)):
    ++$posts5topnbsp;
    $posts5name .= "? <a href=member.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=getinfo&userid=$posts5top[userid]>$posts5top[username]</a><br>";
    $posts5post .= "$posts5top[posts]<br>";

endwhile;

i call $posts5name and $posts5post in the forumhome template
to make them show up.. screenshot below!

now .. thats what i've tried.. STOP LAUGHING !!

PHP Code:

$thread5 = $DB_site->query('SELECT COUNT(*) AS count,postuserid,postusername FROM thread GROUP BY postuserid ORDER BY count DESC LIMIT 5');
while ($topposters = mysql_fetch_array($thread5)):
    ++$thread5topnbsp;
    $thread5name .= "? <a href=member.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=getinfo&userid=$thread5top[userid]>$thread5top[username]</a><br>";
    $thread5post .= "$thread5top[count]<br>";

endwhile;

for some reason it doesnt work and show only the ">>" on main forums page.. WHY ?
help ?

while ($thread5top = mysql_fetch_array($thread5)):
    ++$thread5topnbsp;
    $thread5name .= "? <a href=member.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=getinfo&postuserid=$thread5top[postuserid]>$thread5top[postusername]</a><br>";
