Apologies for the vague title.
Basically, I want my Private Messages to Flash like they do on vbulletin.org when a new private message has arrived. After searching these forums (and finding stuff about a flashing lightbulb), I'm guessing this is a template change rather than a hack? Could somebody clarify how to do this? I'd also like to put my Private Messages and Currently Onlin table rows beneath my Welcome Panel (currently shown at http://www.servicepals.com/forums) Please please help!! Cheers, Ross |

Its a hack called Blinking Pm or something like that find in the full releases forum.
To put your private message at the top edit the template forumhome>forumhome> find $loggedinusers and $pminfo and place those 2 varibles at the top where your welcome panel is and if u dont want them to show at the bottom delete those to varibles from the bottom |

Brilliant, thankyou.
Am going to be added quite a few hacks this weekend - is so much better with the user panel and other hack features - hope they're going to be adding these sort of things as options for Jupiter!! |

What if you want the $pminfo above the header? That doesn't seem to work.

the header is parsed in global.php the pminfo laterly in index.php so you can't put $pminfo in the header
except not without modifing global.php |
