I would like to have a text box (small note pad) in the users details in the AdminCP. I need to be able to write a few comments about a user for reference - it does not have to be big - may be 200 charaters or smaller - is this possible. I suspect a table will be required in the sql database which is no problem.
Thanks. |

Try going to custom fileds in your admin cp. Add a new field. Not viewable/editable by user. Then it becomes an admin only filed. Up to 250 characters...

It's actually called "User Profile Fields" in the Admin CP.
Just add one as the above suggestion says - does the trick. |

If so, I have searched and searched and I can't find the word "fields" let alone "User Profile Fields". I know it's in there. I'm using 2.2.1. It's in there, right? Sorry for sounding so dopey. |

Version 2.0.3 and later allow you to specify whether the field is viewable / editable by the user.
