I'll never be a hacker, that's for darn sure! Would someone please help me to fix this hack. What I would like is:

Total Threads: 426 | Total Posts: 3,592
New Threads Today: | New Posts Today:

Notice the missing numbers in todays totals! Heh. What I 'thought' would work is:

In the index.php:

// get number of posts and Threads today
$datecut=mktime(0,0,0,date("m"), date("d"), date("y"));
$countpoststoday=$DB_site->query_first('SELECT COUNT(*) AS posts FROM post WHERE dateline>='$datecut'");
$totalpoststoday=number_format($countpoststoday['posts']);

$countthreadstoday=$DB_site->query_first('SELECT COUNT(*) AS threads FROM thread WHERE dateline>='$datecut'");
$totalthreadstoday=number_format($countthreadstoda y['threads']);

Any suggestions? Thanks bunches!

There is already a hack for: New Threads Today. I will paste the code from that hack:

PHP Code:
// number of threads today
$datecut mktime(0,0,0,date("m"), date("d"), date("y"));
$getthreadstoday=$DB_site->query_first("SELECT count(*) AS count FROM thread WHERE dateline>='$datecut'");
$threadstoday=$getthreadstoday[count];

try this one
PHP Code:
// today total posts
$squawell mktime(0,0,0,date("m"), date("d"), date("y"));
$getpoststoday=$DB_site->query_first("SELECT count(*) AS count FROM post WHERE dateline>='$squawell'");
$poststoday=$getpoststoday[count];

Hi. Thanks! Ummm. One question though:

"$squawell" what is that equal to? I would like it to pull all posts and not just the individual. Will this do that?

Just like squawell posted:
Code:
$nowmktime=mktime(date("g"),date("i"),date("s"),date("m"),date("d"),date("y"));
// today total posts
$poststoday=$DB_site->query_first("SELECT COUNT(*) AS count FROM post WHERE dateline>='$nowmktime'");
$poststoday=$poststoday[count];
// today total threads
$threadstoday=$DB_site->query_first("SELECT COUNT(*) AS count FROM thread WHERE dateline>='$nowmktime'");
$threadstoday=$threadstoday[count];
