I have looked around and not found anything on embedding live chat into my forum.

Is it possible?

By live chat I mean having a "chat box" embedded into the forum that would allow existing users to comment on live sports in real time.

Not the pop up that asks if they can help sell you something

There are any number of options but, to be honest with you, chat boxes kill forums.

You'd be better off with a forum thread and something like AJAX live updates so users don't have to refresh the thread to view new posts. Glenn Vergara made a mod that does that for me on his site at vbmods.rocks
