Restricting Private Messages, individual member
We have a nuisance member that every time he's banned just re-registers. I banned his static IP so he got a wireless with dynamic. He also uses WI-FI. I sent a complaint to his home provider, which netted nothing. So we finally decided to not let him know we know who his latest ID is. He's in permanent moderation, too. That has him cranky, so he's sending PMs to the active members attempting to discourage them from our site. Is there a way to restrict him from PMs except to Admins?

Thanks! I couldn't find anything by Joe D, and the linked mod provides a lot more than we're looking for. I have a UserGroup for "Under Review" which is where he is now, but allows limited PMs. I think I'll just duplicate that and set PMs to 0 and make sure his individual privileges remain where they are (limiting what forums he can post to). If he needs Staff, he can email us.
Thanks for trying! |
