Hi guys,

I want to completely change showthread by adding and removing big features . I cant seem to find the right area.

To make it more clear. I want that my forum will be read-only for all my guests and members. Which means that showing the reply button and the text box are unnecessary.

Should I edit the showthread.php file now? It's kinda confusing for me with

being able to see just the codes without visual previews

Why don't you just edit the forum permissions for the usergroups?
You can just set that they cannot start threads or reply to threads.

Problem solved. I have already found the showthread file in the style manager.

I'm not aware if the reply buttons are still visable eventhough members do not have the permission.

I needed to find the showthread file because i also wanted to get rid of the ''posting rules'' block and a few things more
