Active Users cannot login
Random active users are unable to successfully login. Attempts return a message saying they are not logged in or don't have permission to access that page. Using different browsers sometimes helps, but while some can only log in from Chrome (or whatever), others using the same browser cannot. Devices can be anything from phone to PC. Nothing in their profile seems to be in conflict. Clearing cache doesn't solve the problem. No error messages are reported from the server.
We're getting a fairly large influx of new members, but are not seeing them online. And long-time members find they suddenly cannot access us. We've lost some valuable members because of this issue. Any ideas of where to look for a problem? |

That seems fine, have you tried disabling all of your plugins/hooks?

You can try changing the cookie domain to "blank" in settings
And edit the config.php files cookie prefix line. Keep this cookie prefix short and only letter and numbers. Quote:
PS. This edit in the config.php file will log out everyone from site and they will have to login again. . |

Thanks. I'll try that and find out if it works.

You can disable all hooks by doing https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/foru...ystem-globally
This might not be something we can help you with from our position, you may need to get premium support at vbulletin.com (http://www.vbulletin.com/en/vb4-add-ons/) or find someone that can help you out. |

I made the change to config.php. All hooks/plugins are disabled. I've also asked the members known to have a problem to check and report the bookmarked URL they are using.
After disabling hooks, one member (who had been able to login but not post) can now post. |

Next step should be disable all the plugin via adminCP.
Undo the config.php edit. Enable one plugin at a time (via adminCP) and test the forums, the plugin causes the problem after enabling it, is the culprit. |
