Can any one tell me if vbstats works with 2.2.1 also can some tell me where the hack is for the online status is under the authors name on a thread.

Yes, vBStats works with 2.2.1. Read the thread for the slight mods for installing on 2.2.x. There is a also a new version of vBStats coming out soon. The oline user thing is a template mod. Do a search. There have been a couple of threads on it.
