My site lost all the pictures that had been posted when I had it upgraded from vB3.xx to vB4.xx
Is there any way to re-link or bring back the photos that had been posted? I will admit to being a bit ignorant when it it comes to how the site does attachments and photo posting as I always link to an outside location. |

What 4.xx version did you upgrade to?

Also, are your attachments stored in the database or file system (Admincp > Attachments > Attachment Storage Type)?

4.2.3 is the present version being used

So, you have your attachments in the file system currently. When you did the upgrade, was the path to your attachments a valid FULL path to the directory? If not, then they won't get upgraded with the site.

If it's your minibuggy site, it's infected with the filestore72.info exploit and you should really clean that up first.

So what needs to be done to remove this? |

This happened once to me, luckily I had a backup. When you upload/overwrite via FTP, you are overwriting the custom* folders (customattach, customavatars, etc) with blank folders.
I always delete those folders on my local before uploading the upgrade files via FTP. Hope that helps! |
