Well the stats is a hack available here in the hack forum. Then you need to hack and edit some files and templates to get the info to the top of the forums. If you read through ALL the pages you will find the info you need.

-sighs- Well, I've searched and searched and just can't find it ... I've looked at well over 500+ posts and just can't lay my hands on this wonderful hack.
I did find one by FireFly? that replaced no avatar with a specific image, but it doesn't list where to put the code. Oh well .. I'll keep checking back, perhaps someone knows where to find it. ~Kat |

If you read through the entire VBstats hack thread that will show you how to get the stats on your front page. Getting the avatar there is just moving some code around although I'm unsure what code. Getting the PM's up there is as simple as cutting the code from it's current location in the forumhome template and moving it above where you want it.

Well, I only wanted the "Welcome" area and finally ended up finding the information that I needed (see this thread if you are looking for that information: http://vbulletin.org/forum/showthrea...threadid=32501).
My final results are pretty good (Charr The Grimm Fate Forums) only I'm having a few little problems. 1) When someone selects an avatar from those provided (vs. uploading their own) they get the "noavatar.gif" instead of the one which they selected. 2) I couldn't figure out how to make the templates: forumhome, forumhome_unregmessage & forumhome_welcometext work together seamlessly .. so for unregisered folks the standard message isnt' exactly where I would like for it to be. 3) Also, I would have liked for the "guestavatar.gif" to be linked to the registration page .. but I can't figure out how to do this. All in all though I'm very pleased with how it's turned out. With some luck some of the great minds on this site can figure out answers for my 3 problems above. Thanks all for the help. ~Kat |
