Overview:
This product allows you to select elements of the user postbits which will match the color of the username HTML markup. You may select in which styles the product is active, and which usergroups and forums are active as well.
Updates:
Version 2.1:
Added setting to give usergroups a color other than their username markup.
Compatibility:
Tested and working on VB 4.2.x and may work on all 4.x versions of vBulletin.
Backup/Warning:
This product does not alter your database, however it is always good practice to make regular backups and you should make a backup before installing ANY new mod.
As always, products are USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I will provide support and do my best to help but no absolute guarantee is offered.
I also have idea which is a bit similar, but also different. For official posts by moderators (and admins, of course), that posts look differently, a bit like presented here.
We would define what elements to be changed and how (e.g. red text in post, red post header), but only when moderators want to make official statement, and leaving their other normal post same.
There would be option to make post "official communication". It would be somewhere in additional options, within quick editor and advanced.
Would you be interested in something like this?
This would help make users aware that some communication is official. Now moderators (at least on my site) usually change color of text by BBcode, but that is something that users also sometimes use. With changing more elements, it would be distinct official communication from moderators.

Yes, that's an idea I've heard before and one that I could see being useful too. I will give this some thought.
Hi Mark, in optional, is it possible to use a custom color for usergroup, not the HTML markup of the user name (like Post Body CSS For Specified Users)
Thanks

I can add that option fairly easily...look for an update to do that soon.

Unfortunately, if a custom style makes changes to the postbit template significant enough to make recognition of certain elements by this product impossible, I can't really provide support in the published product.
The best I can do is offer to come to your site, where you have provided to me the login credentials to an admin account by PM, and see if I can customize the installation of this product for your site.
