vB Templates and Bootstrap

A couple of years ago I've tried to use Bootstrap with the templates of one of my mods and they messed. Not so big messing, mostly the fonts (appeared big).

I want to ask the designers if they tried lately to use bootstrap and what's their experiance.

Please note that I'm planing to modify all the templates. I know that they're dozens but from the other side a big part of them (maybe 70%) will not be used. eg No calendar, No Groups and some others will replaced with special mods eg Private Messages, Memberlist etc.
