Spam bots issue
Hello!
I've a vBulletin 4.2.3, and I am still having the same issue of having literally a thousand of spambots immediately registred and posting threads when the registration is enabled. What can I do against it? Are there any hacks to prevent most spam bots of being able to post? Thanks |

Be sure to install: Spam-O-Matic - Spam Firewall stops forum spam it is one of the most popular add-ons for vb4.
...and be sure you set that users need to verify email prior to being able to post. This is found under Registration Options: |

If you want the BIG guns of forum protection against almost ALL the baddies out there, look at installing ZB Block (see the link in my signature). We have been using it on our vBulletin forum since 2012 and spam/spammers are as rare as hens teeth. In fact, I uninstalled Spam-O-Matic, as ZB Block simply does a better job.
