It ain't like ya'll give out a good username and password that is easy to remember.

My outlook express took a virus and now it won't open. I can't get to my emails. So wtf am I supposed to do in the meantime? Just not get support.

Fuqin bogus as ****, ya'll got me pissed to all hell now. I already registered once at the vbulletin.com site, and then you change this ****. I need some friggin hacks............

Man I could go on and on. You guys will probably have a good laugh but Im pissed as ****!

It never ceases to amaze me that people post like this and actually expect to get someone to help them because of it.

The part that really amazes me, is that someone will help them - even after they post like that!

On my forums, as in my life, rude behavior will get you ostracised or even banned.

Apparently it works for some people however, as a learned behavior, they will abuse the very people they expect support from, and then abuse them even more when they finally get supported.

I'll never understand it.

Well, I guess iot's just a kiddy. In real life, he is probably afraid to talk like this. May he feels bigger now.
Anyway, I doubt he has a license...else he could go to Jelsoft and they'd send the details again...

look, dumbass, if I didn't have a friggin license why would I post a link to my site?

vbulletin is by FAR the BEST bulletin board out there. I HATE the fact that people pirate the software and then it causes me to have to enter and re-enter this stuff. I told you my outlook took a virus and I can't get any mail. I contacted jelsoft and they haven't responded. (then again, maybe they have and they responded to my3sonburns@msn.com and I can't get my mail) Im on business in Phoenix, AZ or I would probably just go ahead and re-load Outlook express email.

I didn't ask for help either. I was commenting on how stupid it is to have to keep doing this over and over again.

BBurns I am sorry you feel the way you do, but beleive me when I say that this will benefit in the long run. Its now a dedicated forum for hacks, so the hackers have a better enviornment to orcastrate their work.

If your on buissness, then I assume you work in a proffessional company doing something semi corporate. If you are then you would know that if you called in a trouble ticket for something and couldn't provide the needed info - be it circuit id, order id, whatever - then your SOL.

Why should this be different?

I understand why you might be fustrated but be honest, Your email issues - your being out of state - and your not having your user information stored elsewhere is not the fault of anyone here.

I should also mention that if you already registered and placed your member info as requested, then you could simply log on from any pc with just the forum id and password that you had chosen.

Its unfortunate that this forum only recently went into effect & its equally unfortunate that you did not place your member info as of yet - but again lets be honest for moment. As bad is it sucks, and as bad as this situation seems - its not the fault of anyone here.

All you can chalk this upto is bad luck. If you need someone to blame, well your SOL. If you just want to rant about this then by all means go ahead and do so but make that clear.

Peace.

My post got deleted! Anyway, I have no idea in he|| what my old password was; it was so long ago. I was asking what to do when I had an old AOL email address and now I don't have it anymore. I told that to the guys at vBulletin.com and they insist that it's not in their database of email addresses. Personally, I think they're trying to screw me out of getting any new ones... I have a vB 2.0.1, but I just recently learned of the security issues. Is there a way I can convicne vB.com people that I did have the licence? I don't want my board to be hacked or anything. I've seen so many boards get hacked (not vB) like the one at http://www.ccforums.com. Anyway, please answer this!! I need to download the new version.

How long ago did you purchase vB? When you purchased it, you should have given them the URL of the forums. Did you do that? If so, let Jelsoft know what this is.
