What are advisors?

[CarpCharacin]

What exactly are advisors and what do they do? Are they moderators?

[Paul M]

They advise.

No, they are not moderators.

[CarpCharacin]

But what do you mean to advise? Like make suggestions? Can't anyone do that in the feedback forum?

[MarkFL]

The advisory aspect is primarily associated with the advice/help given to users posting questions about how to accomplish their goals via the vB software.

[Lynne]

They help out and we recognize that they give good help/advice and so we label them as Advisors. We hope that that gives people more confidence in the help they get from the user/Advisor.
