Ok.. what I am looking for is a third type of forum.. rather than just a category, or a postable forum, I want a link.
I want to be able to create a forum, name it, give it a description, and say "alias of forum id 5 in this location" This would mean that i could have: forum > technology > computer > software > games be an alias to forum > entertainment > games > computer games On display, it would use the name and description given to the alias if available, otherwise copy those from the other forum. The #of posts and last post and such would obviously have to be from the real forum record. And the entery url would just jump to the proper forum. I am not sure where to begin on this, but am willing to work as a team with someone to make it happen. |

That one looks more like it just makes a forum into a link and keeps a counter of people who click it.
I am looking for something that will basically make a forum show up in two different places on the same vB, without duplicating the forum. The forum should look the same, and save for a small icon or something, there should be no indication that it is a link. Its an odd concept, but could be nice. Then again, maybe that is what that hack does, and i misunderstood because half the thread is in german. ;P |
