Mod_rewrite or forward extra domains
I purchased a website and domains recently and transferred the domains to my registrar and the website to my host.
I'm interested in everyones opinion on how to handle the extra domains that came along with the site. I have the three TLD's for the domain name and two more that are very similar. (e.g. domain.com, domain.net, domain.org, shopdomain.com, domain2.com) Would you recommend uncommenting the rewrite conditions in the .htaccess file or just forward these extra domains with my registrar, to my main website (domain.com)? I have no intentions building different sites at these domains and know that search engines haven't indexed any links...other than the main domain. |

For Seo reasons you should use the .htaccess and do a 301 redirect. If you have multiple domains for the same site you may be hit with a duplicate content penalty. According to Google a 301 redirect is best.
I have posted my .htaccess page here in case you're interested: https://www.christforums.org/forum/e...le-performance Shim |
