pips and stars gone

ok i installed this hack,and the images wont show,it worked fine on 2.0.3

but not now i've upgraded,i re-added the hack on 2.2.0 and the images just are'nt having any of it lol

can someone take a look at the code,and tell me what i need to do,to make it work.i've attached the zip rather than post the code,in case anyone else wants to try it out,the images needed are in the zip.

From the looks of it this should go in admin/functions.php, put I right above
