How to do this
I would like something like this
If you go to this website here http://projectavalon.net/forum4/show...0-kyushu-japan You will see the poster is EMSC Earthquake Reporter (formerly USGS) It seem to automatically write posts when there is an earthquake. I rememebr once you could do this with NASA also. I just cant remember how you set this up.Its like it automatically posts when there is an earthquake Many thanks Malc |

The forum is probably making use of a cronjob and then calls a (REST) API or RSS feed of that site. The API/RSS feed will return some information and then they can check their own database if it exists already. If not, create new thread.
There's no way to tell you exactly how to make it since every API/site is unique. ^ Unless RSS feed is being used. |

this is the site they get their news...
http://www.emsc-csem.org/service/rss/rss.php?typ=emsc emsc-csem.org provides a couple of feeds, you can scan the domain with feedly or any other reader. |
