Anti-Spam Options - Tapatalk Signature Remover: TNG (Stop Tapatalk Signature Spam)

Important Note: After discussions with various people I am no longer certain this mod upholds the values I usually support. It can be argued this mod is removing branding another developer had put into their mod, and like I wouldn't create a mod that removes branding from say DbTech mods, perhaps this mod goes too far.

I am not removing the mod for the time being but I am not supporting it any further either.

I would urge people who do not want to see Tapatalk signature in every post either purchase their plan or remove Tapatalk completely. I will not do any further work on this mod nor support it unless I get affirmative consent from Tapatalk to do so.

Tapatalk has recently decided to stop allowing most forum admins to disable their "Sent from my [Whatever] Using Tapatalk" signature spam from every message posted with Tapatalk. The only way to disable it now is to pay for a monthly account.

This mod is simple. Once installed it stops such signatures from being saved to the database and also scans all posts (as they are displayed) and removes them from any existing posts in your database.

It's extremely simple to use, there are no settings. Simply import the XML file and it is active immediately. Disable or uninstall the mod to stop it from working.

Should work for VB 3.7.x - 4.2.x, all versions.

Sorry no screenshots, nothing really to see.

Note, if you have the old version installed I suggest uninstalling it. You should have one or the other, not both.

New - Version 1.0.1 (product-tapatalksigblocktngbop5-101.xml) Changes:
Looks for "Sent from my..." instead of just "Sent from..." in last line and will delete it if it exists.

Please "Mark as Installed" if you use this.

Great mod to take care the default Tapatalk signature formatting.

Pity there is no viable method of nuking those custom Tapatalk sigs.

Sadly I have members that have cloned their forum signatures into their Tapa settings so now I am having to manually delete duplicate bumpf out of posts.

Going to exorcise my forum of Tapa soon.

If you're still seeing already posted sigs you might consider clearing the system cache. If new posts by TT users are still showing sigs, then there is a problem - possibly some other mod interfering.

It will only block tapatalk signatures that start with "Sent from"

Other than that the only reason it wouldn't work is if some other mod was interfering.

Also blocks innocent sentences what start with "Sent from." Verified this earlier.
