Make navbar move to right side of page
I'm new to vbulletin, please bear with me....
My forum is here: http://www.vcfed.org/forum/forum.php. What I want to do is move the nav bar (articles, blogs, forum, what's new) over to the right so it's abutting the search bar. How? I assume something needs to be changed in style manager -- edit templates -- navigation + breadcrumbs -- navbar, but I don't know what. |

Try adding the following selectors to your "additional.css" template:
Code:
#navtabs { margin-right: 180px; } #navtabs > li { float: right; } Follow: AdminCP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager Then for each style to which you wish to apply the change, select "Edit Templates" from its dropdown menu, and you will find the "additional.css" template in the template group "CSS Templates". Once you have the template open, then copy/paste the selectors I provided at the end of the code already there. --------------- Added [DATE]1457634541[/DATE] at [TIME]1457634541[/TIME] --------------- I posted instructions, but for some reason they were appended to my previous post. edit: Now I see why...your post was deleted. |

Sorry -- I posted to ask where to find additional.css, but then Google showed me the answer so I deleted the question.
Thanks very much for the code suggestion + explaining how to use it. It works. |

No worries...now if for some reason you change the width of the search element, then you will need to adjust the right margin of the navtabs element accordingly.

I'll keep that in mind.
What if I want to try combining the nav bar and the login bar (is there a formal name for the login bar?) .... seems like a big waste of space in the header to have them on separate lines. |

You would probably have to edit 1 or more templates to do that.

They're called toplinks to give you a starting place. Look in vbulletin-chrome.css. Search for Lynne here. She did a lot of posting on how to move things around.
I do like how it looks. |
