Channel delete

Hello there. . .

I have a channel that I wish to delete but can't figure out how to do it.

I go to channel manager, scroll to (- - Stem (Node ID: 2), from the drop down, I select delete channel then get sent to a page that says....

"That action could not be completed. Please try again, and if this occurs again please contact the system administrator and tell them how you got this message."

Is there any way around this problem?

Did you contact your system administrator?

Make sure that node is not the forum "Home" directory.

The directory before it is home. Or at least that is what it says.
I notice also that it is the second one up in the breadcrumb even though I don't visit it.
In site builder, it has only 2 modules that I can do nothing with. By that I mean, delete.



And at the bottom of the page itself is this object of fascination which I recognize of course but it is useless.



I can't help wondering about the validity of a delete button and how useful that would be.
By the way, is there any possibility to scrub it out of the DB without it having any affect on the other pages?

And if it is the forum home, is there anyway to change it?
