Background Question

Hello,

I'd like to add a background to my page.

I have a fixed-width theme and i'd like to add a background picture to the empty space on left and right side of forum. Everytime i try to do this the image just repeats itself or does not look good no matter how i try to do it. I have tried messing with doc_background.

How do i know what size I need the background image to be? And how do i make it look good?

Make one big background picture with nothing in the middle (940px according to your forum) and whatever you want on the left and right side.

Then you add it to doc_background, no-repeat, horizontal offset top, vertical offset center.

The image I want to use is too small and i will have to resize it. I only know how to do this in paint. So if i resize it and maintain the aspect ratio What do i put as the Height and Width in px?

Height and width doesn't matter, as long as there is nothing in the middle of it which matches the size of your forum its width. (Which is 1050px acccording to your forum at this moment.)
