Advertising not showing up correctly
OK, I've spent a couple days searching and messing about with the advertising in VB. The site is http://www.gotmead.com/forum/.
I have a header2 ad, a below navbar ad, and an above footer ad. The latter 2 show up in Firefox (Mac), and when the page loads, I briefly see the header ad, then it disappears for some reason. The code in the templates is standard, and is present in all the places it should be. I can't see any of the ads or ad spaces in Safari or Chrome, they don't show up at all. The code is there when you view source, so it is being put out there, like it's supposed to be, but for some reason it isn't showing up. I'm going mad here, I have a big advertiser who wants to sign up, and I can't get the ads to consistently show up. Any ideas? I'm wracking my brains here, the code is *there*. They should be visible....... |

Color me embarrassed. The non-viewing ads on Chrome and Safari were the ad blocker. I see so many *not* get blocked on news sites, it never occured to me.
However, my header ad is still missing. I load the page, and it pops up momentarily, then blinks off. I have no idea why this is happening, and can't find any settings that would only mess with that one ad. |
