For some reason I cannot see the post "style" buttons like bold, italic etc

See the screenshot below.

How can I fix this?

Does the same thing happen on a unmoddified default style?

you have editor buttons missing from the images folder. Usually they are in /images/editor
Copy the buttons from the default style or upload them from the extracted default vbulletin installation files.
