Does anyone know which files/templates contain vb's default Mobile Redirect script (ver 4.2.2) ? I'd like to disable mobile design on Tablets/iPads- They're plenty big enough to view the default site and articles.

Looks like it might be in includes/init.php, starting around line 557. Well, at least that looks to be the part that determines whether or not the browser is "mobile". class_bootstrap.php has a function fetch_style_record() which decides which style to load based on a number of things, including whether or not a mobile browser is detected.
