Permanently banned of some users after upgrade

Hi there,
I have upgraded vb 4.2.2 to vb 5.1.6 a few days ago. There is a big problem for some users when they want to log in to site,They are faced with the following message:
You have been permanently banned ...
How can I fix this problem?

Are all these members who are banned in the same group

Yes! I tested some users, They are all in the same group! What is the soloution?

It is group permissions go to the group in question and check This Usergroup is not a 'Banned' Group = Yes
As I use vb4 I am not sure if it is the same setting name

I checked it, But this usergroup does not belong to banned group

Wait for others to reply I don't us vb5 it works different then vb4 this see what others have to say

Create a new user (manually from admincp) make sure all other parent/secondary groups are checked accordingly.. for this new test user..
If works.. on this new manual created user. Check your settings again..
If not post here.. again.
