How do I remove the area as marked in the attachment with red? It is the area below posts.

You could edit the (showthread I believe) template and <vb:comment>Code is here to hide</vb:comment> comment out the code that displays the blocks OR use css to hide as shown here.

The bookmarks can be turned off in the options not sure about the other side
