How to use Thumbnail Instead of User Avatar in Widgets

I want to show thread thumbnails instead of user avatars on widgets. I am using Chiplove.9xpro - Thread Thumbnails for this purpose on forums, but it does not work on widgets.

Can any one tell me how can I do that?
