Crazy people
About one hour ago I got a knock at the door it was two police officers, they came in and told me someone has made a threat against my daughter and myself saying they will track us down and kill the both of us. I am not worried about this 24 year old girl who has just been released from a mental hospital, but I am worried about my 22 year old daughter (who is carrying my grand child) as this girl does know where she lives. Why are there so many crazy people in the world. The strange thing is I don't know this girl and no idea why she hates my daughter and me, I don't even know what her mental problem is as the police would not tell me.

Yikes! So they tell you there is someone out there that has made threats towards you, but nothing else? Do you know what she looks like so if she shows up you would recognize her?

The Police cannot give you any information on her mental status specifically. This would open the door to a lawsuit.
By law the Police are obligated to give you the information that you are being threatened via vocal, social media (texting and the like), wiretap, or in some cases - third hand knowledge - depending on how viable, and serious the threat really is - usually determined by the officers viewing the subject making the said threats. The fact that you were informed is not something you should take lightly. For the sake of your daughter, and yourself you need to be prepared. Use a variety of methods to help you get a glimpse of who you might be dealing with. Obviously you need a name to go with the threat. This should have been provided to you by the officers. Use the internet to find out who this person is. Try to do as much investigation as you can yourself, almost everyone has some footprint on the internet. Failing that, you can hire a P.I to investigate for you, but if it was me, I'd hire a law firm. Most lawyers have access to info that you might not be privy to. They can get the name of this person from the police if it was not provided to you. They also have access to decent investigators, who can find out a lot more about this person than you might be able to. More importantly, should anything ever happen, you have a law suit, never mind any criminal charges that might come out of something this persons does or attempts to do. You need to know what her beef is, and more important - what she looks like in order to protect yourself. Good luck. |

I am not worried about me as she does not know my address, but does know where my daughter lives. My daughter is moving in a few weeks, so the faster the better. And if she comes near me or my daughter she will get a 45cal in the head

Yeah it seems like the police would do more when it comes to a death threat.

Is it possible that your daughter can stay with you until she moves to her new place?

She has plenty of people around her everyday so she is never alone.
