Allowing posts to be edited for X minutes

I wanted to give members the ability to edit their posts but for a specific time period.

Any idea how i can do this?

Message Posting and Editing Options in Settings > Options has a setting for that

For some reason it doesn't work in one of the sections of the forum.

Have you checked Forum Permissions for that section/category?

What does "doesn't work" mean? You can't edit at all or you can edit past the time set?

Where should i be looking in the forum permissions?

By does work, i mean you can't change it at all, as if the feature was disabled.

And what section is that - is it special in some way? That setting should work for ALL forums that the users are allowed to post in. Do you have a modification that could be interfering with the setting?

Check in Post / Thread Permissions that users can edit their own posts for the forums you're having trouble with.
