New posts are not showing up in threads
So I was just informed that new posts made to threads are not showing up. I can make a new post but after refreshing the page the post disappears as if it was never written. I can search and find the thread and find that the new post is not there. There are 6 pages in the current thread but it shows there are 7 available to go through but I can't click on page 7.
This is the thread that I am using as an example: http://www.killbillet.com/showthread...ghlight=ratrig Any ideas why this is happening? |

Heard about that bug before in the version you are running and seen a fix somewhere, maybe someone can post a link to it if not update to the latest version will fix it

Does someone out there have the link for this bug fix or know what I can search to find the fix?
Are you suggesting that we would need to update to the next available version of vbulletin if we can't find the fix for that bug? We are currently running 4.2.1 Thanks for the help so far |

I am saying if someone can't give you or post a link to a fix then yes updating to the latest is the only other way I know of but others out there might know other ways just wait for others to reply

That thread shows only 6 pages to me (it's says page 6 of 6, not page 6 of 7). Why do you think there are 7 pages to it? If you look in the database, how many posts in the thread and are they all 'visible'? Have you tried maintenance > general update tools > rebuild thread information?

I could be completely mistaking here...but when I read about this bug a while back someone mentioned something about posts being in the moderation queue ...

How does the rebuild thread tool work? I noticed you enter a number that will rebuild threads. Can you rebuild a specific thread there? Thanks for the help as I am still learning the inner workings of vbulletin. |

There weren't any post in moderation or soft deleted. I understand that part of the forum fairly well.
I did rebuild the threads in maintenance and everything is working great now! Thanks for the suggestion on that! |
