Backup Forum ?
Hello everyone,
Could you please show me how to make backup forum every day? I would like to check whether the backup file would restore database and all forum mod, structure at a particular time in the past ? Thank you so much. Jon |

Yeah not too sure what you mean. But, if you want regular back ups perhaps use this mod HERE and create multiple scheduled tasks with it running once for each day?
If you're going to do a back up so often you may want to do it at some time when the forum isn't very active i.e 2am or something so your server isn't overloaded or anything. |

A database backup will only backup your database (usually all your data). If you have files you uploaded for a modification, then those will not be included in your database backup. If you have attachments or avatars stored in the filesystem, then those will not be included in the database backup. Only the database is backed up in a database backup, not the files.
You may want to ask your host if there is an option in your server control panel that will allow you to easily do database backups and/or file backups. |
