SLOW speed on WIFI!

I have just had fiber net installed in my apartment.

I've tested the speed which showed a result of 45/38 megabit per second.

So the speed is fine!

BUT when I browse pipesmokerunlimited on my iPhone using Safari AND WiFi, the speed is very slow, but ONLY on pipesmokerunlimited.com! On all other sites, the speed is super fast!

If I choose to browse pipesmokerunlimited.com on LTE on my iPhone instead of WiFi, the speed becomes super fast. As soon as I switch back to WiFi, the speed becomes very slow.

On my computer (Windows Vista), I can now only use WiFi... this means that I cannot browse pipesmokerunlimited.com properly anymore as the slow speed is killing me!

Please help me fix this so that I can again get the high speed back on pipesmokerunlimited.com using WiFi!

Gzip compression and caching of static content would be your friend. That site is slow even for fast cable connections, 14-16 second load time.

Might "seem" fast to you due to your browser caching.

Your jquery and external.php scripts are returning 404 errors too.

It's not just me who experiences the site lag but practically every user...

What puzzles me is that the site is fast on LTE on the phone but not on WiFi (and just tested WiFi speed again which showed 51 / 36 megabits per second).

How do I change WiFi?

BTW.: for instance THIS site works just fine! It's only pipesmokerunlimited that seems to have problems.

I downloaded the Firefox browser to see how that works... still slow speed!

BUT:

Every time I refresh or navigate the page, I see the browser telling me "Finding www.pipesmokerunleased"... (this was the forums old name and url).

So we need to remove that re-direct!

How to go about this, please?

I'm not seeing any redirect, but the site does take a bit to load. You may want to consider switching the default from activity.php to forum.php. How did you do the the redirect? Do you have an .htaccess file? What is in there?

Still, I find it very odd that the site works just fine on LTE on my phone but NOT on WiFi on the computer and the phone... how come this happens??
