wiping DB after failed import

I have been battling with importing phpbb3 into my recent purchase of vb4. I have had a lot of template issues between my test site and my live site. So at this point I was able to get the style to work finally on the new site as long as I used the database from my temp site. So what I would like to do is wipe that database without affecting the style. Then I would like to do a fresh import from my source DB. It won't let me use the impex cleanup. I get a DB failure however it will do imports but it wont delete the active one. Again I would like to some how just delete the database without hurting the style and basically start over.

Export the style, drop the database, install new and import the style.
