Attachments not showing, it's got me beat.
Hi
I'm running (vBulletin 4.2.2 Patch Level 1, but have an error where the attachments are not showing. The attachments are in the filesystem, TMP set to 777. But, i get the following error, The image "http://www.astra-mk2.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=15736&d=1410527397" cannot be displayed because it contains errors. You can check it here, http://www.astra-mk2.com/forum/showt...381#post393381 Any ideas what can be causing this? |

I think he means guests *can't* see images (not can see images).
Anyway, please add the following line to your config.php file under the <?php line and see if you still have the same problem: PHP Code:

Still the same here also where we can't see the image. You need to post a link to a thread where Unregistered Users are allowed to view the images.
Also, what type of Image Processing Library are you using? Are images stored in the database or filesystem? Did this problem just start? What happened on the server and site just prior to it breaking? |

Hi
I've had time to change the setting so you can view as a unregistered user. The sites on shared hosting, so i would need to check with the hosts if they may any server changes. The attachments i've moved from the DB to the file system to see if this was causing the issue, but it's still the same. The attachment system has always been alittle poor to be honest on the site. However i did not notice straight away after upgrade to '4.2.2 Patch Level 1' Maybe this is issue? Image processing is GD. |

It looks like thumbnails are fine. It's just the big images that are a problem. I get a blank white page when trying to view the image. Here is a page from the manual about troubleshooting blank or 'white' pages: https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/blank_pages I would start by checking your error_logs (if you don't know where they are, ask your host).
Did you leave that line in your config.php file that I asked you to put in? What version of PHP is on the server? |

I did leave that line in.. I've not had change to upload all files again..
But.. While checking through the 'white' pages, i ran the repair tables and got the following, vb3_attachmentviews Check Error: Can't find file: 'vb3_attachmentviews' (errno: 2) vb3_attachmentviews Check Status: Operation failed vb3_attachmentviews Optimize Error: Can't find file: 'vb3_attachmentviews' (errno: 2) vb3_attachmentviews Optimize Status: Operation failed Could this be the issue? --------------- Added [DATE]1411230694[/DATE] at [TIME]1411230694[/TIME] --------------- Have this, well lots of errors like this in the log. ================================================== === Database error in vBulletin 4.2.2: Invalid SQL: INSERT INTO vb3_attachmentviews (attachmentid) VALUES (15607); MySQL Error : Can't find file: 'vb3_attachmentviews' (errno: 2) Error Number : 1017 Request Date : Wednesday, August 20th 2014 @ 07:06:28 PM Error Date : Wednesday, August 20th 2014 @ 07:06:28 PM Script : http://www.astra-mk2.com/forum/attac...7&d=1405600895 Referrer : http://www.astra-mk2.com/forum/showt...ssion-for-Sale IP Address : 92.236.103.107 Username : sjr247 Classname : vB_Database MySQL Version : ================================================== === |

You should show that error to your host. They may need to delete the table and recreate it for you if they are unable to repair it for you.
