Default Any cheap alternatives to neomailbox

Hey,

I'm looking at setting up secure mail for my website for SMTP and want a provider that is able to hide the IP of the server. I already have vbulletin behind cloudflare etc.

So far I have been able to find one provider which is http://www.neomailbox.com/services/secure-email

Does anyone know of any alternatives to this provider?

I just went through all of this myself after getting blacklisted for not having my dns set up correctly for mail with spf, etc.

If you use one of these services you will most likely still have to verify your domain using mx entries and an spf and in most cases they will not send your list if there are too many bounces or issues.

Also, you should be able to set up your smtp to use a unique ip I believe and tyhen you can send from your own server but it depends on why you want to hide your ip. If it is for spam reasons then it most likely will not work.

Why are you concerned about hiding your ip anyways? You are going to send email from your domain? Right?

BTW -I have used sendmail and a couple others. I will post them when I find them but none worked out for me so I fixed my dns settings, filled out the forms for Microsoft and Google and now I am good to go..send out thousands of emails each week to members.

Some people want to hide their server IP in the email headers since it's a way for people to grab your server IP. Some people try to hide their server IP to prevent DDoS attacks.

Yes but I do not understand how a ddos attack will start from some hacker getting an email especially when these emails are to a member base, usually verified.

I mean it is very unlikely and it does not seem worth spending hundreds of dollars a month to avoid.

If you are going to get hit it is not going to be because someone got your ip in an email or at least the odds are against it.

A "hacker" could simply create a valid looking account and receive the activation email. Then it's a matter of looking at the headers of the email and there you go, you got the server IP.

It indeed is very unlikely that someone will use this method to get your server IP, but it happens.
It doesn't cost hundreds of dollars though, I can last a long time with 100k emails for $50.

Dave, with critsend are you able to have multiple addresses with one subscription? And they can all be under a custom domain im assuming? I don't see any mention of multiple addresses for a single domain, there site is somewhat lacking information like that.

Thanks

Critsend is only to send emails, not receive.
You can indeed use 1 account for multiple domain names. I use it for 2 different domain names at the moment.

So what I was asking was, can I have one domain with multiple email accounts under it? I just read on there support site that you can but you have to ask them, was just wondering if you had any experience with that?

There are much easier ways to get an ip address of a domain rather than activating an email, etc.. Plus it is possible to configure your email server to use a separate ip from your website or even a separate domain.

sendmail charges by the email and you can configure to receive email in addition to send through your server to theirs.
