3.8.4 to 3.8.7 - Template Issues
Hi
I have a custom design by Miner Skins, who now is defunct. I have 2 templates that require reverting after upgrade. They are forumdisplay and forumhome, in history view I am shown red/green. I take it red is old cold that would be removed and green is from the new template? I need a little bit of guidance to keep the original coding but keeping the new updates. I can't copy/paste the code as it doesn't keep it formatting as vB shows it. Could someone take a look please? |

What is broken? Is anything broken? If nothing is broken you can ignore the updated templates.
Did you try viewing the diff? |

Alot of these differences aren't security related and alot of them are simply code the designer put in for whatever purpose that aren't in native vBulletin. Alot of it, you can just ignore and dismiss the notices.
For the 3.8.4 to 3.8.7 upgrade most of the template changes you DO need to upgrade to will have to do with the security token. I am very familiar with Miner Skins work and I can take a look for you if you PM me admin creds. |

Thanks Max id appreciate that.
Just to add, yes i've I revert the design changes and it now breaks in places. (however it looked okay before revert) I compared the code and there's changes with security I believe. Also now if I click mark forums read I get an invalid token display. However i'll send the data to you. Thanks both of you. |

Because you reverted it, you've set it back to the default. You'd be best off reinstalling the style at this point.

Yes of course, however im worried the edits by vB are important.

I still require help with this issue, the site works with the templates un-reverted but I don't know if the code change is important?
Also since the upgrade im getting security token errors. Any ideas if this is related? |

You'd be best off using a default style, until you can update your custom style.

In the templates where vB is calling for reverts, make only the changes which involve the security token and you're set. |
