Filter blog entries by category, but not by user
Hi,
with blog.php?userid=49821&blogcategoryid=29 I can display all blog entries of user 49821 in the category 29. But there seems no way to get all blog entries of any user in category 29, as blog.php?blogcategoryid=29 doesn't work. Is there any other URL that I could use instead? Does anybody know an add-on that makes such filters possible? Regards TiKu |

The category most certainly should work, as that is one of the sideblocks in the blogs main page is the Category's block.

Well, in 4.1.12 it doesn't.

Do you see that sideblock in the blogs?

Yes, I can see it. But as long as I'm not in a specific user's blog, these links don't work.

Is there any errors or messages that certain up when you click the links?

No, the current page just reloads, without any filtering applied. You can see it yourself: http://www.planet3dnow.de/vbulletin/blog.php
Just choose a category from the "Kategorien" block on the right side. As long as you are on the main blog page, the links don't work. Only after entering a user's blog they start to work. |

Are those categories you created in the ACP, or are these member generated categories?

They are in the ACP.
