Attachments have corrupted

I have a problem on my site where zip/rar files aren't unzipping, giving me the error

"The archive is either in unknown format or damaged"

I have all correct mime extensions,
File path is correct,
Diagnostics are all fine

Any help? Will be much appreciated!

Someone else had a similar problem recently, it turned out they had extra characters at the beginning of one of the vbulletin php files. Did you recently edit a file (maybe config.php)?

Edit: Oh wait - wasn't that you? Then I guess it's a different problem.

Me indeed I've had a nightmare with attachments.. I've gone back through the thread and done everything as suggested but with no luck.

It just seems to be RAR/ZIP files. Images, text files etc all work fine without any problem.

Edit: It seems that having this fix applied was causing the issue https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=303520

Looks like IE users will have to go without or use another browser...
