Change the length of CMS latest post widget snippet
Is there a way to change the snippet length of a "latest post" widget on the CMS? I'm not talking about articles.

It is the same setting for articles as for the widget - AdminCP > Settings > Options > Content Management > Default Preview Length.
You may be able to edit the widget php page directly if you need to change it only for that widget. |

Thank you for your reply but unfortunately changing content management default preview length does nothing at all, still cuts off at approximately 150.
I'm no coder at all, I mainly just improvise via googling, or copying somebody else's code and try to fiddle with it hoping to somehow get what I want Anyway this is not too important so forget it. |

Did you make sure to Clear System Cache after you changed it? Otherwise the widget will just stay cached for whatever cache time you have set.

I went to admin > maintenance > clear system cache and also cleared out my browser.
Still stuck at 150. In content management there is a text as quoted "This will be used for preview text length if you do not specify a preview break" prior to the snippet box. That might be what is causing it to not change? If that is the case, then I'm afraid that I cannot do that as I do not want snippets outside of recent article widget to explode. |

Ah yes, that only works if you don't specify a preview break manually in the article.
