Default Why my website has so many bots
My website is www.tuxedogamers.com

This is happening today the whole day, I usually have between 30 or 40 users at the same time but today I have had like 700 the whole day.

I know they are not real users because they dont register or post but how do I get rid of them?

I dont know, this is my first website and the first time that this happen, I had to set up the moderate new members option but they are still there :s will they go away ? maybe I was wrong and they are not bots but google spiders

You need to update your spiders list with the one from my website, then see what type of bots they are.

It may take at least 15 minutes for the bot names to show up in the WOL though.

The link is in my signature, and you just upload the file and overwrite the old one.

I updated my htaccess file and I don't see them any more.

Because the file is only available to members.
