Sitemap generator

I'm trying to set up the sitemap generator, but I have an error in the ACP :

Error:
You did not enter a valid value for this setting.

When I try to rebuild the site map I get this :

"The directory the sitemap files are to be written into is not writeable. Please change the permissions on the path to be writeable by the web server or enter a different path in the sitemap options."

I have created a directory in the root folder and called it "sitemap" the file permissions are set to 777.

In the ACP the file to save the sitemap to is set as /sitemap

yet I still get the errors as described above

Can you post a screenshot of the sitemap settings

I've found that the file is in core/store_sitemap

but I am still getting the cannot write settings even though the file is set to 777

Bugger ! Just did a search on VB.com and it's a known bug dating back to October 13

The file path is wrong try .core/store_sitemap or ./store_sitemap or ./core/store_sitemap

./store_sitemap worked , then when I went to check the page I get an "invalid URL"

Try the others they might work if not u will need to wait for a fix

Thats the only one that works, I've relented to an online generator until a fix is found

Maybe someone will give you a fix in the coding. I dont have vb5 so cant help
