I have never had to sue the tools under Maintenance>general update tools.
I tried to use it today but all I am getting is a 404 page anyone have any sugestions please

404 means that you don't have uploaded all files correctly (i.e. the file is missing). Make sure you have uploaded all files to your admincp folder correctly.
