Proper way to remove Blogs all together...

I tried removing blogs yesterday, I forget where it was, but it was a simple top level administrator menu item and soon after my newly installed vb 4 was non functional

So it's freshly reinstalled and I don't want to screw it up, but I really don't need or want blogs on my forum, plenty of other stuff going on...

So what is/are the best step(s) to remove it properly?

Disable the blogs in plugin manager. You don't need to remove it.

Just disable it admincp/settings/options/Navigation Manager or in plugin manager disable it

So I disabled it there, but in a lit of places there are still references to the blog and adding items to the blog...

How can I eradicate blog references from my forums?

If you go to Admincp > Products & Plugins > vBulletin Blog > disable (it will then show a line through it), then there should be no reference anywhere on your site to the blogs.
