Anyone else looking forward to this movie? I'm not sure when the last time was that I was so anticipating a movie. Maybe it was The Simpsons movie. So first big anticipation in 5 or 6 years.

I'm always afraid that a sequel can't live up to the hype... few really match or surpass the first- especially comedies. Hangover II for instance. The American Pie series kept it up for a while I suppose. Austin Powers II was as good or better than the first- but it is rare. However this latest trailer gives me great hope Anchorman 2 will live up to expectations! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VdGI5-z_hg

I would have too, except I trusted your judgement. I think that movie does look pretty cool though. But I will wait till it comes out on cable, I have not been to the theater in years.

You know, you will probably never see me in a theater to see a comedy. I figure a laugh is just as funny on the small screen. But Zoe Saldana in a red mini requires closer examination.

With that said, I missed almost everything from the July-November run due to severe case of broke. I'll have to settle for Sif on a Sanyo. ![]() --------------- Added [DATE]1386318180[/DATE] at [TIME]1386318180[/TIME] --------------- I just realized my TV is a Sanyo, and that made me even sadder.

I'm waiting for this BOP, I'll probably be waiting until dvd hits... not like I can let all three kids of mine tag along on this type of movie lol and even then if it was just me and the wife it would still be $30+snacks+drinks = $40-50 just to see it in theaters when I can rent it for < $5 or just buy @ ~$20 or so when it hits. Only movie I've went to see in theaters recently was of course... yes you guessed it... the new Superman movie .

I personally have not been to a movie in years. Having said that....my youngest son who turned 9 wanted to take 7 school mates to the new birds movie as part of his birthday party.

Like most Dads I do not tend to think things through to the end, and agreed that he should take his buddies to the movie. A nice way to spend a Saturday I thought. My wife loaded them into the van and off they went. I never thought another thing about it until a few weeks later I was reading our bank statement. $158 dollars? At the movies? Holy Cow I said. And that is how the argument between my wife and I started. "That is what is costs" she said. I replied with "Back in my day I saw a movie for 3 dollars." It was then I realized I sounded exactly like my Dad. I still can't believe what it cost. |
