My forum has been stolen, please help
Hello there,
I am the owner of IconiK Gaming a forum based gaming community. I recently have been locked out of my own forum by a disgruntled admin, my head programmer and server manager to be exact. Now he is moving my entire forum, changing the name, license and the domain but keeping the database. So pretty much stealing my whole site and changing the name. I need some suggestions on what I can do to stop this. Can I make them take it down and start from scratch? Our server was through URLJET, he set this account up with me as a secondary and my name was on each invoice. If he was the account holder for the server does this give him the rights to my data? Any help is appreciated, if you have any questions to help explain the issues please ask. |

If you have ftp and cpanel access you can remove his access and restore your own again

Thats a problem because I believe that is what was done to me. The first thing I tried was cpanel and I was locked out

Did you give him cpanel access? Try getting in touch with your host

Do you own the license? If so, go to your customer area and change the URL that the license points to and then report the site for piracy.
But, other than that... if you are paying the server bills, then you should be able to contact the host and have them help you get access back. |
